Sharad Navratri is a festival and a journey of colours, faith, reflection, and gratitude. Each day arrives with its own energy; each colour becomes a reminder of a different blessing that Maa bestows upon her devotees. On the first day, draped in the radiance of orange, I bowed to Maa Durga.
Orange is the colour of joy in motion. It carries the warmth of the rising sun, the glow of inner strength, and the spark that awakens enthusiasm in the heart. As I offered my prayers to Maa Durga, I sought divine blessings and the ability to nurture positivity, courage, and devotion within myself.
Maa Durga, revered as the embodiment of beauty, wisdom, and divine grace, inspires me to look beyond the external and cultivate beauty in my thoughts, words, and actions. In her presence, I am reminded that true radiance comes from the light we carry within.
Navratri is a time when my spiritual practices become more mindful. Every prayer, every mantra, and every moment of silence feels like an invitation to reconnect with my inner self. Amid the noise of daily life, these nine days gently guide me back to gratitude, faith, and purpose.
This year’s orange ensemble carries an added layer of love and nostalgia. I am wearing a beautiful Nalli Silk saree that was gifted to me on my 40th birthday last year by my beloved “junkies” – Aastha, Grover, Nayyar, and Gunjan. A gift that transcended its material form and became a cherished memory wrapped in affection.
When I wore this saree, I was reminded of their generosity and of the beautiful friendships that have enriched my life’s journey. As I celebrated Navratri in this treasured saree, I felt surrounded by both divine blessings and the love of those who hold a special place in my heart.
It was a reminder that grace often reaches us through people, relationships, and moments that stay with us long after they have passed.

Wrapped in orange, I prayed for renewed energy, deeper devotion, and a heart that remains open to joy. May Maa Durga guide me to live with compassion, wisdom, and faith, and may her blessings illuminate the path ahead.
Jai Maa Durga.
